GLOBAL GATE HALONG ESG++ MARATHON 2026

Run Through the Wonder – Reach for the Record

The Global Gate Halong ESG++ Marathon – Run for Net Zero is positioned as a new generation of marathons, where athletic achievement, urban experience, environmental responsibility, and local community seamlessly converge into a single, unified journey.

In addition to celebrating heritage, the Global Gate Halong ESG++ Marathon 2026 aims to build a breakthrough, young, and dynamic running community.

The Global Gate Halong ESG++ Marathon 2026 – Run for Net Zero will feature 4 distances: 42km, 21km, 10km, and 3km. Upon project completion, runners will experience an emotionally charged journey—”running through the green bay, reaching for the wonder”—transforming into a stronger, more energized version of themselves.

Far beyond a traditional sports festival, the Global Gate Halong ESG++ Marathon 2026 – Run for Net Zero aims to become the most modern ESG coastal urban cross-bay marathon. The event reflects the vision of Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long—a project striving to become the world’s first ESG-compliant urban area under ISO 37125 standards. Here, every stride is not only a test of personal limits but also a tangible commitment to a green and sustainable future.

Route Map

The official route map-featuring detailed annotations for checkpoints, hydration stations, medical tents, and restrooms—will be published on the official event website in the near future.

Kilometer Markers

KM markers will be placed along the course. However, due to specific environmental and placement constraints, a tolerance variance of several meters from the starting point may occur. Therefore, KM markers are for navigational guidance only. Athletes should not calculate their pace solely based on these markers.

Security & On-Course Support

Security and medical personnel from relevant government departments (Quang Ninh Province and Ha Long City), alongside a dedicated volunteer team, will be stationed at the event area and along the course to provide optimal support. Decisions made by security or medical personnel are final and binding, including instructions for an athlete to cease participation for security or medical reasons.

Athlete’s Medical Liability Waiver

By registering, athletes commit to taking full responsibility for their own health status. Upon signing for the BIB, athletes officially accept and agree to all terms and conditions of the race. Furthermore, by receiving the BIB from the OC, participants formally confirm that they have undergone a medical check-up with a healthcare professional and have been certified fit to compete within at least 3 months prior to race day.

Pacers

If you wish to manage your target finish time, you can run alongside our official Pacing Team. How to spot them: Pacers will carry large bundles of balloons indicating their target finish times. Their target pace will also be clearly printed on their BIBs.

Hydration Stations

Water stations will be stationed every 2.5 km to 3 km, offering integrated services including medical aid, rest areas, refreshments (water and electrolyte drinks), and bananas or other high-energy foods. To maintain course safety and aesthetics, runners are strongly encouraged to dispose of used cups into the designated trash bins to avoid obstructing trailing runners.

Race Results

Official results will be updated on the event website shortly after the conclusion of the race.
