The Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Ninh Province and the Ha Long City People’s Committee are highly active and effective government authorities, having successfully organized numerous large-scale cultural, sporting, and tourism events in the region.

For the Ha Long International Heritage Marathon, the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Ninh Province serves as the co-organizer. The Department is responsible for directing security, traffic control, medical services, and environmental sanitation to ensure the absolute safety of athletes throughout the racecourse.

Entering the running event organization sector in 2013 with its debut race—the Ha Long International Heritage Marathon—DHA Vietnam has now become one of the largest and most professional race organizers in Vietnam.

The Heritage Races system, owned and annually organized by DHA Vietnam, includes: the Hanoi International Heritage Marathon (now the Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race, held in the first week of November), the Ha Long International Heritage Marathon (the last week of November), and the Can Tho International Heritage Marathon (December).

Since entering the market, DHA Vietnam has recognized running—and sports in general—as a key driver for tourism, creating a broader development momentum for the entire economy. For this reason, DHA Vietnam has actively organized numerous running events to promote cultural values by showcasing Vietnam’s tangible and intangible heritage, internationally recognized landmarks, and the unique cultural treasures of each specific region, province, and city.

Races organized by DHA Vietnam are strategically designed to provide exceptional brand exposure and product marketing opportunities for both domestic and international enterprises.

Driven by the mission to “organize world-class professional running events,” DHA Vietnam has proactively collaborated with international sports consultants and studied leading global marathons—such as the Berlin, Boston, Tokyo, and Paris Marathons—to adopt best practices and operational workflows, successfully adapting them to Vietnam’s practical context. Since 2019, all races under the Heritage Races system have been official members of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), featuring courses certified by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. Furthermore, these races have officially joined the Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group Ranking System.

The year 2025 marked a proud milestone for DHA Vietnam when the Ha Long International Heritage Marathon became the first and only race in Vietnam to be awarded the prestigious World Athletics Label Road Race status. This accolade solidifies the position of Vietnamese marathons on the global stage, attracting world-class runners to compete and break records. Meanwhile, the Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race continues to be a proud member of the globally renowned Standard Chartered Marathon franchise.

With the ambition to “Bring Vietnam to the world” and “Bring the world to Vietnam,” DHA Vietnam is a constant pioneer in fostering the growth of the Vietnamese running community. The company actively supports community-oriented races, including the organization of Vietnam Airlines’ “Run for Love” and the “Relay Journey” (Hành trình tiếp sức)—a fundraising initiative initiated by K Hospital to support cancer patients.

Through its prestigious international race ecosystem, DHA Vietnam holds a major opportunity to lead the “Green Sports” trend. Implementing a carbon quantification model into these events not only elevates the brand prestige of both the organizers and sponsors but also directly contributes to the Government’s Net Zero commitment. In 2026, DHA was officially selected as the organizer for the Global Gate Halong ESG++ Marathon – Run for Net Zero (October 2026). This is not just a marathon; it is a symbol for a new generation of sporting events where individual performance goes hand in hand with environmental and social responsibility. In April 2026, DHA expanded its footprint to Da Nang with the AirAsia RedRun Da Nang 2026 – Champion 21.
